Above is a photo of Dawn Landes recording strings with Cellist Clarice Jensen at Saltlands Studio for Nico Muhly‘s arrangement of the song “The Brown Girl.” Dawn will be singing this song at Lincoln Center starting tomorrow, October 5.

The Lincoln Center show is Benjamin Millepied‘s creation, titled “Two Hearts.” New York City Ballet’s Benjamin Millepied is known for his work on Darren Aronofsky’s Oscar-winning feature film “Black Swan,” as well as his recent creations for American Ballet Theatre and the Kirov Ballet. Premiering at the Spring Gala, the choreographer’s new ballet is set to a commissioned score by his frequent collaborator, American contemporary composer Nico Muhly, with costumes by renowned fashion house Rodarte and lighting by Roderick Murray.

There will be a total of four “Two Hearts” performances this fall. For more information and tickets, go here.
